i'm trying to take screenshots using the one that comes with "e680i essentials" but it's not working...installed neo...installed the screenshot app...but when i click on it nothing happens and i don't end up with anything under diska/screenshots...does this really work and if not then any suggestions how i can do that?

when click on it,does it create a "click" sound about 10 second after u click?if not,try to reinstall it.if yes,try to check in the main root(main folder of the phone memory) and u will find scrraw1.png there.thats the picture that the screencapture capture.

Restart your phone and tap startup.lin file once. Then tap screen capture's icon and wait for 10 seconds. If nothing happen or there is no png file in diska/phone folder.
Try restart your phone again, tap startup.lin file, tap screen capture's icon and wait for 10 seconds.

well there's no "click" sound after 10 seconds...i tried reinstalling, restarting the phone, but still doesn't work...anyway i decided on writing my own...turns out it's very simple using EZX and Qt

yes, all credit goes to our devs around that things sound simpler now... at times, now i also think about giving a shot to development of some app for phone.

i'll b happy if u can try and come up with something really good.

Is there a version that saves the screenshot in the SD/MMC card and not in the phone?

i think u can edit manually the main.lin in .system/java/DownloadApps/MIDletxxxxxx/Files/NeoInstalled
change diska with mmc/mmca1. u can use wordpad to edit main.lin or editorE from your phone.

I replaced the main.lin as shown on this file (original16.png) with the file shown in edited16.png.

I then turned the phone off then on, tapped startup.lin, and ran screencap. Nothing happened. I turned the phone off and on again, tapped startup.lin, and ran screencap. Still nothing.

Did I miss anything?

??? i just change /diska with /mmc/mmca1 after restart pone screencaptur work.

BTW, I'm still using phone's original firmware, not flashed. Do you think that is the problem?
