Ok, i have been reading the forum for like an hour now. As i am tryin to get as many info as possible before i purchase this phone (yes, i havent got one yet), i get really confused with all this linloader and stuff like that.

All i want is just to install some softwares into the phone like how u install any softwares into ur pc without any moddings.

Say, can i install a dictionary program (do we have one?) by copying its setup files into the phone and run the setup on the phone. Or maybe other features like MSN, Yahoo Messenger? Drag and drop musics,videos like how u do it with ur USB mass storage devices? Applyin themes (where to find this) simply like you apply it in any other mobile phones (Sony Ericsson, Nokia).

Can all this be done without all the troubles? Becoz i really do not understand it and i'm afraid to screwed the phone. I do not need the GBA games (i read it some where u need to flash to have a GBA Emulator), but maybe some java games will do (i've got a C380 before, so i guess uploading a java games into the phone would be similar?).

Help, please answer...

Ok, besides replying your PM, I think I need to answer here as well :

- LinLoader is the mother of all miracles on E680i. So, if you want to get the most out of your E680i, installing LinLoader is a must. It is not difficult, because we've got (well, at least I've got) a LinLoader installer that works only with one click/tap.

- Remember that to install a program on your Windows PC, the software uses Windows Installer (InstallShield or whatever). Same here. You need to have MPKG-Installer or NEO-Installer to setup applications. Except for Java applications, because by default the phone has Java-installer inside. Once you've got Java, NEO, and MPKG installers, applications can be installed the way you want it to be : put the setup files in the phone and click/tap.

- Reflashing the phone is NOT a must. But since the latest modding includes NEO and MPKG installers preloaded in the firmware, I should say that reflashing is recommended. But as I always say to my friends here in Indonesia, you may wish to take some time to be familiar with the standard features of the phone -- say, 1 or 2 weeks.

- No pain no gain. If you tend to be afraid of getting the best out of your phone, you won't get the best out of your phone. Have more readings through this forum, you will see that screwing up E680i completely is NOT an easy thing to do. There is always a workaround to make it work again.

Haha, yeah man. True. Life is all about risk. But sometimes the risk is too expensive...(yeah, expensive) to take. Haha.

Oh, so i need that MPKG,etc to install softwares that are native to Linux? Hmm, then i should reflash it! :P

you needn't modding your fone if you don't want,you can install linloader,mpkg,neo. dictionary,you can install all of these app if you don't want any more and don't know how to uninstall these app you can master clear your fone,it will delete all app you install,don't be afraid
we modding fone ,flash the fone to make it better easy to use
