Next generation of E680/i...???

When will motorola release the next generation of E680/I...???
Is anyone know about that?
Because I think ROKR E2 and ROKR E3 are not.

yeah, i relly hope too that motorola wil make a real successor of the e680/i series...

maybe e680w(or e690/e700) with w-lan/3G video calling and video connection for a computer monitor with 1280x1024 res, external BT keyboard, better battery 1gb Mb internal mem and ub to 32Gb of SD/MMC flash mem, USB host for other external USB devices, GPS -so i do not need another "real" compter anymore.

I DO hope they come with a successor (in a few years as this phone is less than four months old for me). Basically the following improvements would be my wish: better camera, more powerful processor, more mem. (edge might be nice as well as gps or 3g), higher colour count for the screen (at least 256k instead of 65k), video out might actually be nice and reasonable, after all, ipod video has the capability, and an alternative input method (I don't want to lose the touch screen or wish to make the phone any bigger, I like that it's small, but a wireless keyboard or a sliding keyboard might be nice, but still, I want the physical build to be basically the same, maybe a bit more aesthetic just so it looks a tad newer.)

dream about? no.. its reality.. linux together with the right hardware can do that easely..

yeah... the internal screen is with 320x240res or 640x480res with 16Mio colors(24bit).
video/audio outs for TV, stereo and computer screen.

there are some phones with 512Mb internal mem, other ones with 640x480res screen, others ones with inbuilded 8Gb harddrive, others one with 10MP cam with optical zoom in the shops!
all that put into the new linux phone!

the e680/i has the right size, but if a linux phone is comming out with this above spec - it can be a bit bigger than the e680/i but not bigger than a windows PPC PDA phone.

about the cost =around 1200.- as new -. i will buy it...

i agree for 512 internal memory and external until 8 giga that was cool...
and i want this phone gonna be able for 4G(the fourth generation of GSM). beacause my mom(she works in intenational mobile company and also gsm world organisation) says that 4G is ready for lauching and we can do anything with that. internet for 10 mg and more (in phone) oh god what a nice speed. but now 4G still in the development stage . so can we wait for that. and i hope linux can make the best os for this fourth generation

That's why everybody's tellin' you "dream on", y-cyas ... it's not about the specs ... it's just impossible to have your dreamphone with A1200 price. It's more realistic to compare it to the price of XDA Atom or Dopod 818 Pro.

The answer is how the motorola know about "our dream".
And one more, I'm wondering they add one spicial button - call it as multimedia button. And if we push it, there are two choices, video and audio. Video supports avi, mpeg, rm, wmv. Audio supports aac, mp3, wma, etc. And still supports 3D surround sounds.
