there is no such feature (that I know of)... yet.
if you know the contact, then use contact list
(or maybe set to speed dial, cancel call, then input rest of the #s)
I was wondering if there is any way to insert a special string of numbers when dialing...
there is "insert: +, Pause, Wait"
Since i travel between HK and China daily, i wanted to avoid having to have 2 entries for each individual number.
I was hoping to have an option for "insert: 0060" for when im in HK and calling a China number.
and a "insert: 00852" for when im in China calling a HK number.
also...is there a "insert: contact"? cause then i could just type "0060 insert: contact" and be all set......
any ideas to help?

i cant use contact list caquse it auto dials the number i select...which means i cant add something before that number
ummm, here's something that could maybe help. In the contact's info click the menu button and choose detailed view. It allows you to give 2 entries to everything (i.e. 2 home phone numbers, 2 business numbers, 2 emails, 2 cell numbers). This way you can have the local version of the number and the long distance one.
And if I'm not mistaken, even if you dial the long distance version of a number (i.e. area code+number) while you are in that city you get charged as a local call. If this is true for you then you don't even need two entries, check it out
cant dial long distance number while in same area...
and i know about the 2 home numbers etc...but i didnt want to have to do that....too many numbers
