telnet can't seem to get it working

when i type telnet 169.254.142.2 it said could not open connection to host, on port 23
please help me!!! need complete guide. i have already flash my phone but without cg33 and cg36. CAnt seem to get my cg35 to work with out telnet.

Are you using Windows? It'd be a better idea to see the guides.

And in the ThreeSearch CG files - make sure you've clicked on the MTF file in the phone - that should allow you to access telnet.

so you have to disable card lan
and turn off zone alarm
I sure you can telnet to your fone

I didn't have to turn off Zone Alarm (ver 6) - simply place it in the trusted zone.

And make sure you have an IP assigned - sometimes it sets itself to automatic, and doesn't get an IP - so you might have to assign one manually.
