help with backing up native.db?

I was following the guide to flash my e680i with ABP firmware and i got to the step where you mkdir /mmc/mmca1/sysDatabase and cp -p the files. telnet return error saying "cannot create regular file '/mmc/mmca1/sysDatabase/native.db' Read-only file system

any idea how to solve this?
