Thread: HT820

  1. Default HT820

    I just got a new HT820 headset, and I was wondering if it was normal when you play a song in realplayer, the 1st second or two doesnt play, and then you can hear the rest of the song fine. It wont bother me as much in the long run, but I would like to hear that first note or chord! Besides that quirk, everything seems to be working fine. Is it because it's a wireless connection and can't be helped, or could it be defective...if you have a HT820, please tell me if you have this same issue or not or give your opinions. Thanks alot!

    well,the 1st 2seconds lag is common.nothing can be done at the moment i guess.

    p/s: just flashed to C5.ABP last nite from C5.A6P. the audio quality from ht820 really improved alot.i can hardly hear the hissing/crackling sound anymore.i've been listening mp3s thru ht820 for hours since yesterday.

    that first second or two lost is actually because when realplayer starts up it has to connect and the headphones fade in the sound. Everytime realplayer goes to the next song it seems to shut down for a second (if you doubt it check out the bar with the realplayer icon on the homescreen when songs change). If you press next track from within realplayer or start a song manually from the playlist you'll get to hear it.

    @tarwin

    ur rite.4got about that.but i noticed there's still almost or half a second lost at the beginning even if u do that. nevermind about that.there's still 2-3min of the song to hear to.

    that's true...well, if you really wanna hear that one second that badly, you can just press rewind once. Each rewind tap in real player when it comes to audio is 5 seconds, so it'll go straight there. But all in all, that second is always going to be lost every time there's the unpause or playing of a file? Will there be a solution for it in the future hopefully?

    so is there still no wireless headset to listen to FM radio as well as the realplayer? Can you also use HT820 for phone conversations? if not, is there one that enables us to use all that is stated above (phone, FM radio, and realplayer)?

    you should look into the headset before you ask questions here. The HT820 is a stereo bluetooth headset, which means, yes it can be used in a phone conversation, given it's used with a compatible bluetooth phone.

    well the phone conversation and realplayer was obvious, but I was questioning more in the line of the FM radio for our specific phone. Sorry if I asked the questions in such broad sense, but I did look up the item. Well, in respect to the forum, how do you guys like the HT820? the battery, style, fit, etc. The phone conversation quality is important aspect as well. Thanks!

    I did hear that ABP firmware enabled radio without the original headset, but i guess that was wrong -- it doesn't turn on with the HT820. As far as my experience with the HT820 so far (I bought it yesterday), I've liked it. It's true that the treble and bass are a little off-balance (treble's a little strong and bass is a little weak), I'm sure no ordinary person would be phased by it, given that the ordinary person wouldnt care about sound quality, as long as it's decently clear and understandable. The battery is reportedly 17 hours talk time, 500 stand by, and it's a two hour full charge so it's not bad at all -- it actually lasts longer than the phone! Phone call quality is great as well. When my aunt saw me wearing them, she said I looked like an alien xP. And the fit? It's fine, just after awhile, you'll start feeling the top of your ears getting pressed down a bit, but I'm always paranoid about things touching me like that so what the heck. Other than that it's very comfy.

    the fit depends on your head, simple as that. At first it was too tight and ended up hurting after a while, but now they've stretched and fit me fine.
    The radio thing is a programming feature of the phone, not the headphones which means if it doesn't work with one a2dp headset it won't work with any.
    Battery lasts a great amount of time, like pnoykenshin said it lasts longer than the phone which is just great. The phone quality is great, it helps block out the surrounding noise, provides the sound in both ears making it clearer, and from what people tell me the pick up of the mic is good (I have to take other people's word for it on how they hear me ).

    Winamp won't skip the beginning of the song pnoykenshin, but right now when I was testing it out it will skip mid song for some reason, but I seem to remember it not doing that in the past :s
