Do I Need to Flash Upgrade to Install Neo packs?

Hi,

Stupid newbie question. Do I need to upgrade my firmware as Jezmaster said in the Guide. I thought I installed Linloader, Neo correctly. But I've been trying to upload Eplayer and Winamp and while it seems to install, everytime I try to run the programs I keep getting an error message that the program isn't the right one for the phone and that I need to install Neo... I've done a master reset and I'll try reinstalling Linloader and Neo. But any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated!
