[HELP!!] Is it possible to have more sms database memory?

As we all know that e680i got only 3300KB database memory , i can only store 31XX sms in my mobile phone (all from my gf )...

Today, a warning sucked me from receciving my sms, it said that "the database memory is full. Awaiting SMS.(something like that..)"

I checked the memory manager and it stated that the SMS database is already 3300KB fulled.

so, Is it possible to solve this limitation??
can we store sms (together with the contact list) directly on \diska or SD card instead of \ezxlocal\sysDatabase ??

why do you want store that lot of sms on your phone? just delete them and then you have free mem again for new sms.

also the phone will go more slow when store that lot of sms as you want.

i once had 2000 sms in my phone and tooks 4hours to telete them!
now my sms ussage is max. 500 sms after that i telete them all.

well they are from his gf so i guess he wants to keep them cause of that.
perhaps you can do the whole backup ezxlocal thing so you have the old text messages on your computer.

Umm, work assignments and replies to queries related to work come through SMS. This makes having all messages available in the phone important.

So if anyone can say how to set the 3300Kb database memory higher, that will be great!

If you back them up on the computer, you can have them as .txt files. You can then copy these to your memory card or the phone memory and it will free up your ezx space, allowing you to receive and send without a problem, have old messages available, and a faster phone than if you have the entire ezx memory full

yup. connect to MPT, and you'll get them backed-up. save the important ones as txt (copy-paste).

actually you don't need to use copy paste to save them as .txt
expore the messages you have using mpt, highlight the ones you want to save, and right click and choose save as. It will save them as .txt files

MPT? Does the phone work fine w/ the Moto Phone TOols? THought it'd spoil it - that's why I never used it w/ the phone :P
