Changing icon names?

Hey fellars, so I've installed the ezx local editor, the theme manager and bunch other appz...I noticed everthing that I install and it's mpkg format just has the name "app name".

I know I can change all the java apps names by editing the PlugCardDB file but for the others I cannot find where I can edit the icon names. Hmm..should it be like this or the names should appear automatically?

if u have firmware C5ABP + CG 33 + 35 +36 then u can rename the appname.

I do have the C5 ABP firmware it's EOM and fully unbranded w/ VPN client...it's the HK original firmware.

I still do think that there is a way to edit these icon names...maybe through ezxlocal?

the other that preload game or you install in fone memory you have to telnet to your fone goto ezxlocal/download/appwrite/am/installdb, copy installdb to your pc edit it and copy it back to your fone

just edit ezxlocal/download/appwrite/am/installdb by telnet into your phone using nano

I got all other icons renamed ...i was able to telnet and edit the InstalledDB file. The only icons i cannot rename are any apps installed from .mpkg ...i guess i should give up at that point?

I noticed, all apps from .mpkg are type 2 ...and they all have correct name when I look at the InstalledDB file...but the actual name doesn't show...just says "appname" . If I change the type to 4, then it shows the names but apps don't work....clue?!

...just FYI also...the same thing happens to LinLoader. If I edit the entry for LinLoader in CardDB and change the Type to 4...reboot...then I get my icon name to change to LinLoader instead of AppName...but then the application doesn't work.
Does anyone know what "Type" is for...function, what does it depend on? If I know this I can edit it myself...
