i use a SD card and it has that... maybe MMC card doesn't have it and SD card has it?
I use E680=>reflash E680i C3A8P, when I open file manager=>SD=>More=>Properties there's check box for Password Protection. It's for protect the sd/mmc card.
But in my bro original E680i with another brand external memory card, there is not the check box for password...why...do you guys get the same problem...?

Password protection only work with SD cards....its is inbuilt in the card, hence, the name Secure Digital Card..
MMC cards do not have any inbuilt password protection...

no...i think that's because the brand, some brand support password protection while others are not...
i'm using 1GB SD V-gen and there is no password protection, but when i'm using 64MB SD Sandisk there is password protection...
Yes, I ever tried 2GB SD Vis*pro and there's NO password protection either. That's confuse me or maybe there is a trick to make it appear...?
are you sure it isnt mmc? because mmc and sd are the same size but mmc does not have the security lock that sd does.
my sd card oso dun have password protection.
cheers
yeah, I think it depends on the brand. I have an Adata sd card (it says sd and has the little physical lock on the side, and btw, mmc cards are minutely thinner) but anyways I have never been asked for password protection on it so who knows...
