And then I told him about the other change that might make his LinLoader work: " taking out (or adding) the "../../../../" in the Directory line."

I agree with you that the instructions for just about everything on this site should be easier and more detailed, because every single thing that I install, I need to tweak the installation procedures to make it work correctly.
