YEAH CHANGE IT
No, I often use Zhuyin Board to input Chinese characters. I don't use Pinyin Board.
Yes, Zhuyin Board is of no use for me at all. I'd like to substitute it with custom keyboard.
I don't care at all. It doesn't bother me nor it is of any use for me.
Guys, I suggest to collect all the information about possibility of Zhuyin Board substitution with custom keyboards in this thread. I think, a lot of people will agree if I say, that Zhuyin board is the least used input method among all others. If we collect enough information regarding this kind of upgrade, maybe some developers will find it worth spending efforts and creating a substitution for Zhuyin Board.

Well, seems to me this topic is not going to be the hottest discussion in the entire forum...
Did anybody screw \usr\language\inputmethods\libzhuyinboard.so.1.0.0?

So, any ideas about where is the .kbd file for Zhuyin Board being stored?

There is no .kbd file for Zhuyin Board. You can not change Zhuyin Board unless you recompile E680i input method's libaries which is only Motorola Beijing can do.

xyepblra ...I noticed you are using firmware E680i_G_0D.C3.A8P for your E680i, can I ask where you got it? I know there are some HK sites that may have it available but I'm able to read them unfortunately.
Can you please point me to a link where I can get it...or if you have it, please let me know, I'll let you know where you can post it....please...need this specific firmware only!!!!
Many thanks!!!
Gotawd, I'd like to help you but unfortunately, I have installed E680i_G_0D.C3.A4P instead, and never changed my user's info since then...Originally Posted by Gotawd
I think that E680i_G_0D.C3.A8P was installed on my handset during flashing my E680 into E680i in Beijing, but that one turned out to be dissatisfactory for me also, so later then I had flashed my handset with the software version I got from one of web-sites in Russian without making any backup of current version.
I can read both Traditional and Simplified Chinese, so if you give me links to the HK or CN web-sites you found, I think I could try to find it for you.
Sorry for off-topic and for misunderstanding...

Guys, does anybody think that Motorola professionals read our forum and monitor users suggestions on imroving the software? Because if they do, we could co-operate, and they could help us to make this Zhuyin Board substitutable...Originally Posted by chiennk
By the way, chiennk, do you think you know somebody who ever tried to understand the architecture of those libraries?

Well, considering that there are 3 different input methods for Chinese they could turn one into an input method for (an)other language(s) such as Japanese (personally I'd like this a lot), Korean, Arabic, Russian, whatever. I think two input methods for one language are enough (handwriting recognition plus some type of keyboard).
Too bad that according to what you guys say it can't be modded![]()
Is it possible to use more than one kbd files at same time?
