is this the device address that other PC's see?
Hi
My E680 (flashed to 680i) reports as Device Address FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF
Is there a way to change this?
Thanks
Wolfgang

Yes this is the address other devices see. It is also reportet in the window where i can change the Device Name
hmm, i'm not sure why but it sounds like the flashing did something because the address should come (as far as i know) from the BT chip; its possible that the flased firmware is not communicating properly.
I flashed my e680 to e680i a while back and the BT address is the same as before.
One thing you might try is the bluez stuff; at one point during the initialization the BT address is read (i think) from the BT chip. Also, you can check to see if it might be the phone software that is erroneously reporting the wrong BT address (for a while, before the bluez stuff was nailed down, you could scan other devices just fine, but when you scanned the phone (w/ bluez running) it was reporting an FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF as well.)
Hi guys,
Anybody know if I can use my Microsoft Bluetooth adapter dongle togther with my HT820 stereo headset? Or is it that I must purchase the one from Motorola only?
I think that the address is set by dload.Originally Posted by rpconnect

But i have no idea how ezx_bt is restartet and where the args for dload are from.
