    Default CG35

Hi developers. how come now adays, the cg35 need to be flash using the flashkit n not using pst? during the days tht the c5.a4p just release, it is possible to flash cg35 when using the pst. now if we use cg35 during firmware flashing it causes a permanent damage tht can't be reverse by us at least.

    any idea?

Well, the CG35 that I modified does not have the header and some other information. The information that was removed to extract the contents of the CG35 have not been added back becoz I found out that is was possible to flash the CG35 using the cp method. I realised that this was much quicker....(besides, it saved me a lot of time since i did not have to add the extra header and stuff).

That's why I specified in my post that only the cp method should be used..

I did experiment with flashing my CG35 via PST, but I got many errors...But I managed to reflash the phone after booting up in bootloader mode.

If you want to flash the CG35 via PST, I'm gonna on that now, but since I'm going to be away till Jan 5th, you might get it only arpound that time...

well u got more experience on this cg35 stuff, i believe u. so it got something to do with "headers stuffs".

but tht didn't explain why when the phone flashing went wrong using cg35, a reflash with the original or previous firmware couldn't be achieve. pst did said tht it is "Erasing Flash memory", thus didn't it make the memory a clean sheet?

this is just suspect/speculation, during 'erasing', not all are erase. maybe the headers are not erase, this headers are there to show to the new respective cg(s) where to be place. so when we accidently flash with a cg tht didn't have a header, the next cg become lost thus it becomes a domino effect.

    ahaks..i may be wrong!

Many people occur this problems, take a look here:

    The problem still remains.
In my opinion, when we fail to flash, the system will "lock something" that prevent us to flash again. So, we have to brought our phone to Motorola service center???

Without the headers and stuff, the files size of the CG35 is less and the data are not placed at the correct address locations while PST flashing...so it cannot be flashed via PST unless the headers and stuff are added....

ahhh, i got time to wait... so i will patiencely wait for the release of cg35 tht can be used wth pst.

well, as wht i had pm to u, in order for me to 'cp' the cg35, i got to telnet. so i had to manually install linloader inorder to do 'cp' or use linux. but in ur cg35, there already a linloader n mpkg already pre-installed thus after a complete 'cp' i had two linloader.

Yes, in order to 'cp" the cg35 you have to manually install linloader into memory card. Because of this reason, I did not preload linloader in my modified cg35 to avoid duplication.

Install linloader or any useful application in memory card is a good idea. You no need to depend on any cg35 if you reflash your phone with new firmwares.

hmmm, so is the latin keyboard (cg35) in the sourgefore written by u? cuz when i 'cp' the cg35, it comes with a preinstall linloader n mpkg. in ur guide in installing unicode n latin keyboard, u recommend to download frm tht source. so is there a cg35 tht is to install latin keyboard without linloader preinstalled?
