The best combination for e680i...

i was just thinking that if i have missed any thing by now...

the best e680i in my view can be a phone with
ABP(latest firmware) + Rootfs(Yantz' modified CG33) + CG35 by sandman

and it must have
1. linloader
2. neo
3. mpkg
4. startup
5. gaintable
6. acmattach
7. qonsole
8. eplayer
9. screenshot
10. samba
11. OPIE(this is still under developement, keep in mind while trying)
12. Themes and
12. gaming consoles like VBA/SNES ... etc... with lot of java and console games

this is all i have on my phone.

now ... did i miss any thing?
what else you can suggest me to have?

is there any working version of VNC server or client for e680i? i've tried java based apps but none is working. if somone has a working version, please share...this is the thing that now i need the most.

i will not be telling you exact way here, may be someone else can do it a lot better than me.

what i will say is,
all these things are already discussed in a very detailed way at many places on the same forum. just look for and pick what you want.

i've edited my post to mention a few links and u'll keep finding a lot of resources as you proceed with your research.

send neoinstaller_b.mtf to phone and tap it
send bins.mtf to phone and tap it
restart phone
install linloader.jar
done

edit: added a symlink for neoinstaller compatibility issue

well do try the above method of installing linloader. VERY hassle free, no need to edit any file or whatever. click on the above links to get the file and follow the procedure. it is just three steps... don't tell me tht is hard to follow.

by the way, after installing the linloader, the first file *.lin, u need to hold the stylus long on the file until an extra menu pop-up, then choose 'Open with', n choose linloader... of course

hey arme, is that the neo instlaler and what's the bins.mtf?

bins.mtf contains a set of some useful binaries like nano, etc...
if you have rootfs, then these are really useful things when using qonsole.

yup it is the neoinstaller n linloader neo version. the icon will be okay and the icon name will be linloader and not appname.

Ohh u didn't install the unicode!!! i'm asia but i LUV latin keyboard, it make sms much more lively..... with the ooo, aaa, yyyy.... lolz

oh yes i have that and yes its LOVELY... ha ha ha. i like that. but i have it in my rootfs with all the best things yantz has put in that. by the way, me too asian, Pakistani basically but its a part of Asia too

basically what i did was, installed ABP with CG33 of threesearch and then updated rootfs CG33 by Yantz' using flashkit.

so i really cant say if it was not part of rootfs, cuz i have rootfs and i have that available for me. may be it is there cuz i used threesearch CG33 first.
