try remove the battery cover at the back, then insert the card.maybe it works.
I bought a 2nd hand e680 phone on ebay and flashed it with the A4P firmware version to e680i. But now it seems as if it destroys sd / micro sd cards. I can not use micro sd card ( with adapter ) with 256 mb capacity. They are just not recognised. The next I tried was 1 gb micro sd card. This one was recognised but after a few hours it was not readable anymore. I tested that with several cardreaders on windows and linux PC's and an a780. Then I cleaned the sd card slot and flashed the phone with the AEP firmware and used a regular 1 gb sd card (not a micro sd) but even this one was after 1 1/2 day not readable. I reflashed the phone again and tried a third and last time ... and it happened the the same thing as before. I tried to format the sd cards with the panasonic sd card formating software, but the was no way to make windows recognising one of the sd cards. :Is there anything known about how to solve this?

do you think that will solve my problem? I thought that it is something like a to high voltage that comes from the card reading unit in the e680 and permanantly damages the cards ...
Some E680/i/g user know about it...
Have tou try what Naset said....?
Check out your battreis...

I haven't tested jet because I have to buy a new card (no. 4). But to be sure that this is the last one iI buy: do I have to remove the cover just when I insert the card, or does it have to stay off all the time?
Or also could be due to problem with application -- ic like it did with my E680. Sent to MotoOne Service centre & end-up had to replace the app-ic as they told me and walla ... "SD slot issues same as you" and the "sudden shut-off + fast battery draining issues" totally solved! The cost? MYR 250.00
But now I am happy... my 4 year old E680 is back on daaa move!!![]()

Check your batreis condition....
Or try to borrow batreis from your friend and try to put back cover....
Is still problem like that or not...?
