Connecting E680i via bluetooth to internet!!!

hey there guys

E680i is kool phone. i wanted to ask if there is way that we can connect the E680i with the internet via bluetooth
i have bluetooth on my computer and i wanna connect to the pc and use the internet from my pc. Is it possible to do it or no??

its possible cause some people did that on thier A780 already and the e680i has almost same firmware.
maybe you should look in the A780 treath.

On O2 XDAii, there's a "connection wizard" that can help us acess internet via bluetooth but in E680(i), Motorola doesnt show it clearly!

Don't forget to activate your phone modem (Find Me!) before searching the Bluetooth DUN Service of your phone.

The built in BT application on the phone can handle the SPP connection, but the PPP link stuff is not-native to the phone so as of right now there is no "connection wizard" for BT network connections (im assuming that you want to share your PC's inet connection w/ the phone via BT, if you want to share your GPRS connection w/ the PC then the standard BT modem thing is the way to go). I had started similar java-based BT connection manager that works w/ the bluez stuff, but have not had any time to get it into a sharable state,

Definately check out the a780 forum as well as the development section as there is tons of stuff out there....

well ok i know how to make the phone into a modem
and it connects to the pc too but my pc asks for user name and password like the dail up screen comes up and when i press ok the connection of BT stops and error comes up
CAN ANYONE PLSS TELL ME STEP BY STEP I WOULD BE REALLY GREATFUL

Try to replace the modem driver with this one.

It may solve your problem to set up your connection.

1) Update the modem driver with the attachement.

2) enable the checkbox of "show terminal window" in the connection.

3) dail to "0"

4) open the connection in WinX and wait for the terminal window.

5) run the btppp_start.sh in phone.

6) click the continue in terminal window.

7) Good luck.

Hi guys,
I followed the leoppp script and modified btppp_start script from pnail. everything seems ok ( I can make the spp, get response "CLIENTSERVER" from my e680i, leomsg popup ... )
however, I still can't make ppp0 interface up. the termine in my win2k hangs.
from the /tmp/ppp.log, I got this:

Serial connection established.
Using interface ppp0
Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/0
LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
Connection terminated.

Will it be a connection configuration problem ?
