E680i malfunctioning

Hey guys I bought my e680i about a month ago, and it was working fine until this week. Now, everytime i turn on the phone it goes "TAPI network disconnected" and the top touchscreen buttons don't work. The screen is dark and i can't adjust it back to the original settings. Worst than that, it won't even detect my sim card. I didn't drop the phone or anything, so i guess this is a software issue. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? My friend told me to flash the phone, but i don't know how to do that. help please thanks!!

I am havign th same problem with my A780.. TAPI not availiable.. The phone works boots plays RealP, shows Files and so on. But its stuck in USB Storage mode and I can swith to Telnet with USB.lin. but thats it. No upper icons work so i cant go to setup. And the damn date is stuck at 1-1-1970. with no way to change it. I have no idea exactally what is wrong but i have flash and re-flashed to all but a motorola V3.. <kidding> and still no luck.. I had GPS and all that working before too. Oh well. If you hear anything on that TAPI not respondign could you post it please. I miss my phone..

hmmm, i saw tht message before 'TAPI network Disconnected'.... it because i deleted all the 'Data Network' setting inside Setup without leaving a single that i can use. I flashed my phone n then i saw all this not setting for other countries setting in the 'Data Network' so delete them away. I wan to put my M1 setting but i forget how so i put aside on setting up the network setting. When i put my M1 setting, then the message goes away.
