yesterday i was testing some things and i tried to see how many apps i can run untill i ran out of memory. after running everything i could untill the phone said you were out of memory i then tried it with the swap file trick. it didnt do any good. how does this swap file thing work? i was thinking it would increase the number of programs i can run on the phone.
for real tho, it was like 10 or so programs and you wouldnt need to run all those anyway at the same time
does the swap file thing make it so opera would hold more pages in memory? i never really tested that.

can you do it wrong? i clicked swapon.lin and it really do anything, but it did decompress the swapfile and put the ON file in the directory.
do i reboot the phone after i do that? is this something that needs to be turned on automatically somehow?
after swapon, try: cat /proc/swaps
