    Question Flashing problems [e680g, C3.A8P]

    What I did:
    1. Bought Motorola e680g
    2. Downloaded E680G_G_0D.C5.AEP_0D.C0.B1P_T677SR_L001_S006_P012_GSOE680GT677SR009_full.shx and ThreeSearch_C5_AE_localization_3.1.zip. The latter contained files c5ae_cg35_3.1.nkc, E680G_G_0D.C5.AEP_0D.C0.B1P_T677SR_L001_S006_P012_GSOE680GT677SR009_fullCG33.SMG, E680G_G_0D.C5.AEP_0D.C0.B1P_T677SR_L001_S006_P012_GSOE680GT677SR009_fullCG36.SMG, vllp.sourceforge.net.zip and readme.doc.
    3. I connected handset to computer, ran Muli FlashFlex, chose path to firmware file (E680G_G_0D.C5.AEP_0D.C0.B1P_T677SR_L001_S006_P012_GSOE680GT677SR009_full.shx), chose "Override existing phone software even if it is newer than the superfile software" and "Simultaneously power down all phones(GSM, TDMA and 3Gonly)" options. After handset wasconnected to computer, "Found new hardware" alerted several times, and each time I specified C://Program Files/Motorola/Phone Setup Tools as path to drivers folder.
    4. Pressing "VolumeDown + Camera + PowerOn/Off" I set the handset into flashmode and pressed "Start" after the software reported the connection with handset was set.
    5. When "Erasing flash memory" appeared in "Status" field, I substituted cg33 and cg36 appeared in the folder containing firmware file with files from ThreeSearch_C5_AE_localization_3.1.zip.
    6. After flashing was finished ("*********Flash FAILED!!!*********" alert in "Result" field), Ipressed "Exit", disconnected handset from computer, took the battery out for a while, put it back and switched the handset on by pressing "PowerOn". Handset screen was displaying startup animation, then "China Mobile" greeting ran half way, after which the handset was switchting off.
    Such was result of flashing the handset with all firmware versions (I tried C5_AA, C5_AB, C5_AE)downloaded from vllp.sourceforge.net.
    After I got pissed with this s#&t, I went to repairing shop, and I was told the processor was broken. They charged me for processor and for re-flash, although I askedthem not to re-flash the handset. Guys in repairing shop told me I shouldn't flash my handset again for 2 reasons:
    1. My handset was flashed with the most recent firmware (E680I_G_0D.C3.A8P, according to WWW008W);
    2. They replaced the processor, so no other firmware will work on it.
    I think they just tried to make me think I did not waste money paying them for flashing my handset with firmware I don't need, but in case they told me truth, I'd like to:
    1. learn how to backup the existing firmware;
    2. hear if they told me truth about processorand firmware;
    3. make my handset support Unicode font, be capable of installing new programs from *.mpkg files;
    4. make my handset capable of typing in Russian.
