Internal Antenna idea...

Hi All,

Just wondering, apparently with the new firmware posted recently you can use the radio without the headset plugged in, but there is barely any reception because there is no antenna.

What pin does the phone use on the headset plug to act as an antenna?

Is it feasable to get a small wire and run that down the side of the phone, and then connect that to the pin used to act as an antenna???

Just put the finger in contact with the headset jack hehehe, you can do something better if you hava some 2.5" plug

I already have a plug, and that seems to fool the unit and get fairly good reception, but I am looking to hardwire a small wire antenna internally in the case of the unit so I don't need to have anything in the headset jack.

Try to put the wire in the ground section of the phone connector, but because phone is very small, the reception will not be that good if you put an internal antenna...
