bluez claims to only do keyboards from kernel version 2.6.? on
and last i checked we actually had a 2.4 kernel
    i should probably check again
i could have sworn we had a 2.6 oh well
the driver at the above link works for 2.4 though so
as soon as i get around to building a cross compile tool chain
    1 get money
    2 get computer
    3 install linux
    4 install tool chain
5 build many fun toys to play with
anyone know where to find a System 5 manual for my HP 9000 ...

    @tallemd
have you tried communicating w/ the BT keyboard via rfcomm? i've wanted to try this with one of those bluetooth led projection keyboards and thought i might have to make the connection to the device via rfcomm then write a stupid "driver" to parse the characters and get them into the app.

with our own "driver" it could even parse out special command keys, for example use alt+arrow keys to move a mouse-pointer around the GUI.

also, if you have access to a decent window's PC, i'd recommend VMWare. you can download the trial version and install a linux distro and all tool-chain and ezx development stuff for free. the VMWare workstation evaluation version is only good for 30 days, but after that you can use the VM Player which is free.

well made a second go of it.
    still no luck
i'm wondering now if the problem is a lack of support in the windowing stuff and the applications stuff

the link up top gives proper setup for a usb keyboard of some sort
more importantly it gives about half of /input/

its worth noting that bluezx .2 includes hidp.o which is enough kernel module wise. but its hanging either in the apps the windows or mabey but i doubt it in the dev file system. of slightly more use the major number is either 10 13 or mabey but i doubt 11.
