I think......... It be couse our hardware doesn't meet minimum for using win95 or win98....

i can confirm that win95 didn't install on my e680i... so you're probably 99% right that it's impossible because of the hardware.

another thing is that i've tried to run some dos dedicated games, like duke3d and tomb raider. without succes unfortunately and it seems to be an issue with memory, because DOS4GW returned an error which I remember it sometimes occured years ago when working on orginal dos system.
Maybe there is lack of some kind of memory like XMS or something, it's hard to say for me, however there was under orginal PC DOS a memory manager called emm386, maybe loading this additional driver could solve the problem and we might run dos games

why we don't try Windows mobile 5, our E680i/A780 has same processor, same screen ......

i have succeeded installing windows 3.1 and it is perfectly working. i will provide the screenshots later. will try to install ms office for win 95. will update you guys later.

I just need clarification: with dosbox running, does it mean that old dos apps can be installed in the phone?

Somewhere in the office I saw old installation disks for Wordperfect for DOS. Will it run under dosbox ?

I've been using dosbox since version 0.5 on my pc, now version 0.7 available on e680!!! woohoo, installing windows 3.1, works, but only run in standard mode not 386 enhanced mode , and the mouse off calibration.

1500-2000 cycles are slow ... (haven't try above it)

anyway, be sure to visit http://winworldpc.com/, there lots to try in download section, from original Windows 1.0 (no kidding!, see the evil-ution of windoze ) to win98, wordperfects, ws, lotus 1-2-3, .... oldies applications ...

Please HELP ME....
I always failed to finish the windows installation process...WHY...???
Extract the windows31.rar and get 6 disk folders. I put all files in one folder (Win31) then copy to SD.
Open DOSBox and change directory to Win31 in SD, then setup.
Installation process almost finish where main, accessories, games and startup window have appeared BUT after that no activity for a few minutes and then DOSBox are close. Seem the phone just restart.

I have tried to get the windows 31 file from another site (http://winworldpc.com/ ) but the result is the same.

Aremcy, how did you do that?
And how to open/load Windows OS after we installed it in our phone.
