what did you see if you double click the zip file in windows?
I cannot install java software. I rename the .zip files to .jar and then I tap on it. The phone prompts me to select the location to install ... and then ... "installation failed. Invalid Package." What's going on?

well ... the .zip files are actually .jar files. I have installed some of these software previously and then uninstalled them. Now I am trying to re-install but keep getting the "invalid package". I noticed there are many .jad files in the "Recycled" folder ... should i remove the files here?
Hmmmm.... thanks for your help.
how come i dont have recycled folder?
if you set your phone to storage & are using Windows XP, then after detecting as usb storage, WinXP auto include the Recycle folder in your E680 after sometime.
No harm deleting the Recycle folder in E680.
yeah it really pisses me off stupid winxp creates a stupid recycled folder and a system volume information. Downloading fc4 as we speak so i can finally get rid of stupid windows.
Yes, but does it run Linux?
#!/bin/bash
cd /diska
rm -r _Restore
rm -r RECYCLED
rm -r System*
Will delete the folders with just one click/tap.![]()

You're my guru, Yantz ...Of course then you can change the "cd /diska" to "cd /mmc/mmca1" to erase the same folders in SD.
The thing is, you should never create any folder named "System ..." later. The script will wipe it off your phone.![]()
