i dun understand
just fyi, i spent a couple of hours trying to run a test script on the phone without success. finally i realised that the data file the script is trying to write belongs to root. that data file was transferred from samba. to sum it up, if transferring thru samba, remember to chown to ezx:ezx![]()

i dun understand
and what is the problem?
cant you read, remove or move files on/from the phone after copying from your computer to the phone via samba?
Than this should be a missconfiguration of the samba-server of the phone ;(
may be this sambaserver is not meant to be for public use?
no problem at all, only that i forgot that files sent thru samba is save as root. thats why i had difficulty writing to it from within phone, because phone user is ezx, need to chown first hehe![]()
I transfer via USB Mass Storage mode) hehe
hehe actually normally i use bluetooth, but i was refering to files below /diskaOriginally Posted by Aragorn_DSP

Then why DID you buy this phone? Is it because it's cheaper than Windows/Symbian phones? Or is it because it works better?Originally Posted by maxx_730

Motorola e680 (flashed to e680i) + 4Gb SD card + HT820 Stereo BT Hedphones,
Ubuntu 6.10 + 7.04,
Nokia N95 + 8Gb microSD
I bought the phone primarily because its a good multimedia phone, and it was just a bonus that it ran linux. But because my phone is so stable, im gonna install linux on my pc now too.Originally Posted by fajar
