Lol yeah thats why i say everywhere look in the faqs first, i wrote them for a reason.

i think admin should pm new signups to read the faq first before going on to the forums hehe

Or make some rules, eg
-look in the faq/do a search before posting
-dont make multiple threads
-dont post request for picsel in the forums
etc.

Is it possible to make a rule where if the/a moderator feels that a question is posted that is well covered in the FAQ's and/or yantz's tutorials then PM the poster and suspend their privaleges for a day, or some way of penalizing stupid posts to "force" people to read what others have put a lot of effort into explaining (e.g. all of your work, + leopardus among others) and think before they post?

I know I am guilty of asking a bunch of questions, but I try to read other posts first....

Maybe admin could post an eye-catching news on the front/home page about it, or simply put a warning box on the left menu/frame (with blinking text or stuff ... ya know).
