I am newbie with e680 in US. If I really want to flash to the latest and greatest E680i firmware. And precautions and backup procedures to follow. I know there's another thread talking the steps to flash but I think we need a complete set of procedures.

1. How to back up the original firmware on my phone? How to check which version of firmware I have? R51..etc?
2. If failed, how I can re-install my original firmware?
3. I am from US, will the latest E680i firmware work with T-mobile GPRS provider?
4. which discussion thread, I see too many, shall I follow to flash to E680i?

1. not possible (yet), but do make a backup of all your files on /diska and make a full calendar & phonebook backup with mpt cuz when you flash, everything in the phone me will be deleted.
2. You start the phone up in bootloader mode (press cam + volume down + power buttons at the same time) and reflash it.
