Then head over to either www.keepvid.com or videodownloader.net (keepvid.com is the pioneer, videodownloader acts as a mirror) and download the video

There you have it - but do note that all sounds are in mono, not stereo.

but www.keepvid.com or videodownloader.net has only FLV (flash) videos they are hardly to convert to mpg, avi, divx on linux computer.

use video.google, there you can download mpg/avi and mp4

Besides, if you've got the SUPER converter (which I'm sure many of us do), that reads FLV files - convert the files into WMV, and it's fine.

Just make sure you set the sound to mono, since they don't have stereo on their videos.

do you have that SUPER convertor for linux? WMV? lol.. never use the M$ thingy WMV on a phone!... better mpg,avi, divx, mp4, 3gp =so its to much more phones and computer comaptible!

Well - the only reason why I use WMV is because mpg, avi, mp4 all take up more bytes, as compared w/ WMV's compression.

DivX - never tried it - but I'm thinking it's going to take the same space as MPG/AVI.

3GP - that doesn't work w/ normal Windows software - you need to have QuickTime (or QuickTime alternative) which itself is a pain installing.

That's why. If there's another format (open-source or something) that takes less space, then share it please!

The only reason why I don't use OGG files is because of the portability issue, and not many programs support OGG (only one program for our phone, and that's also beta/buggy)
