In my case, I can sync with mPT in usbmass mode. mPT will put my phone into modem mode during its detect/init phase, and revert phone back to usbmass mode when I exit mPT. You can open mPT's modem exchange window to see all messages btw your phone and mPT. (My firmware is E680i.C3.AP8; My mPT version is 3.20f.)

Sidenote: If I did not disable acmattach.txt, the Belcarra USBLAN driver always starts regardless whether I'm in usb modem or usbmass mode - mPT will not detect the phone in this case. I have to disable acmattach.txt regardless of mode in order to sync.

hey now with e680i firmware I can't send sms with mPT, somebody can? I can syn, contact calendar and task, only in modem mode, mountain_hare, what can I do for sync in usdmass mode??

don't know. sometimes mPT will put my phone from usbmass into modem mode, sometimes it doesn't. I remembered I have to uninstall then reinstall mPT a couple of times in the past to successfully sync with my phone for the first time.

For your problem, can you look into this file C:\Program Files\mobile PhoneTools\ope.inf (default location)? My country and operator info are listed in the file. Perhaps yours ain't. No guarantee this will solve your problem though.

Hi MFC members,

I've read through the forum and found no solution to my problem regarding E680 using MPT 3.20f.

1) after i installed the program, it prompts for profile (i create new profiel) then it proceed to detect the mobile.
2) i chose usb then while detecting, Belcara usb lan appears in the taskbar (WinXP). then the software prompts to detect modem manually.
3) I tried to install the modem manually but unable to do so due to Belcarra USB LAN always appears when detecting mobile.

Any solutions?

Still thinking about to flash to E680i (i think warrranty will be void if flashed). Is it possible to flash back from E680i to E680?

Huh you havent flashed to E680i yet? Cause on E680i the belcarra lan should only appear if you send AT+MODE=99 to the phone. Maybe youve got some settings somewhere which automatically send AT+MODE=99 to the phone when connected in USB mode. Anyways, you can always use bluetooth ofcourse.

It's compatible with E680/i and allmost all version of Motorola mobile.
Download here (47,012kb), after install finish, you can update with Live Update tool by mpt (to mpt2.23b: 9,20MB): http://xtasytech.com/root/admin/mpt323.exe
If mpt run and don't detect your mobile, push Cancel and No command, then General Setup > Change Modem, mpt will detect your mobile quictly and auto connect it.
Recommend: modem driver always available in %systemroot%/program files/mobile PhoneTools/Inf/

Thanks maxx_730. But I don't have BlueTooth on my PC.

Will try tngoctu's share of mpt v2.23. Hope that will solve the problem.

Thanks for your tips. I've forgotten that under the modem extra strings, I've included the AT+MODE=99 string thus, it always triggers the Belcarra USB LAN.
