i never had this problem and i have my e680 more than 1 1/2 year, maybe its your battery.. did you receive 1 or 2 batteries when you bought your phone? if you are received 2 batteries than change just to the other one, if not than buy a new one...

i received 2 batteries when i bought my phone in singapore, also later i bought a 3th battery for it. i know many shops in asia selling the e680/i only with one battery.
