Default notepad.... how to open it with a file passed as argument???

Damn, it doesn't seem to work for me.
Has anyone troubles with it? Am I alone with this problem?

When I invoke notepad from a script passing a filename as argument the notepad opens with whatever was loaded the last time....

    Thanks
    Rick
