Help, E680 cannot Charge at all..

My phone cannot charge, and it happen just a week after the warranty expired. I brought it to the service centre but they dont know how to fixed it. They said the only way is to replace the machine which will cost me 75% of a new phone price. My phone's machine still functioning, it just cannot charge the battery. any solution? Where can I get a desktop charger anyway, I live in Indonesia. Thanks..

You probably are using the USB charger, eh? YOu need the desktop charger when the phone's dead.

I dont live in Indonesia, so I can't help out. Sorry.

Why don't you get in touch with the Moto service centre, asking them where you can buy the charger from? If you can't, might as well get a 3rd party (not Moto-official charger) from someone else.

as shareer_k wrote, try the desktop charger not the USB charger. Try to replace the battery.
I live in Indonesia too, the customer service in here s*cks, especially motorola service centre. All they can do is flashing the phone with other firmware or replace the whole board inside the phone.
If you still have no luck, some people do want to buy your dead phone in Indonesia.(worth about 500k rupiahs)

Yeah, i'm using USB charger and I don't have desktop charger. I bought a new battery because the service center said it was the battery that not work. But the problem remain the same and they sad the only solution is to change the machine board. the service center point me in to few location that they said sell desktop charger. I've been from cellular shop in Daan Mogot, search in Roxy and other place but I dont find it. Anyway i'll follow Bu4y4 and try to email. thanks for the advice

instead of a desktop charger to charge extra batteries, you can use a wall charger to directly charge your phone. usb charger will NOT work if the battery is completely dead.

that is your motherboard problem,i experience it onece,luckily mine is still in warranty n doesn't cost me anything.go to the service centre and ask them hom much it cost for a new motherboard..hope it's help....from malaysia

This happened to me once about 5 or 6 months ago. I thought something was wrong with my wall charger, so I bought a 3rd party wall charger. The new wall charger worked fine for a few days, but the phone never got fully charged (LED never turned green). After a few days the new charger also did not work.

So I went back to the shop (it is in Terengganu, Malaysia). The owner changed it with a new charger, but somehow the phone did not want to charge. So she asked me to go to another shop a few doors away from hers to check the phone.At this other shop the technician, just plugged the phone into a charger and it was charging like normal... He said "no problem, boss!".

What I learned from this episode is most probably the connector was dirty. And somehow when it's dirty, if you push the charger connector too deep, it won't charge. Go slow, insert the connector partially and wait.... the magic red LED will light up... There is no other explaination I can give since my phone never faced any problem of that sort anymore.
