well you can probably still purchase e680i off of ebay or other online stores. if you are in the states then there are a number of online stores to choose from.
hi guys,
like to know if anyone here experience hardware problems with e680 frequently. e.g PCB down, lcd screen out or hearing/speaking hardware malfunction? I owned the phone for about a year and luv it despite all the problems. i have to sent it for repair for the third time and it has been a month plus since i hear from moto service centre. told me they have to wait for the PCB board to come in. sigh.....
back to qns: have i got a "lemon" phone (bought from M1 original) or is it that the hardware quality of this phone is in doubt? i always been quite careful with my phones and yet this happens. thanks for any insight.
just for infor, been looking around for a different phone and realised i am hooked on the e680 already. counldn't find anything close.....Dopod, atom....blah blah, n70.....nothing that matched my needs to a T. anyone care to share where to buy the e680i series (new) cos think even with my 680 back, it wouldn't last long. heard that 680i already ceased production?

or look in the secondhand (phone-) shops maybe you can find an e680/i for cheap..
i found one e680 in last december in singapore by a secondhand phone-shop for 360.-SGD and bought it for my brother.
Motorola e680 (flashed to e680i) + 4Gb SD card + HT820 Stereo BT Hedphones,
Ubuntu 6.10 + 7.04,
Nokia N95 + 8Gb microSD
thanks for the help, found that there is a website whymobile.com selling the e680i with or without the headphones for S$680/ S$600 brand new. pretty ex considering this model no longer mass selling in singapore. but what to do....withdrawal symtoms...ha ha!
thanks again
hi,
just to bring closure to this thread....moto service centre just called. They have offered to upgrade me with a new e680i (1 year warranty) free. This is after 5 weeks of waiting and some technical problems on their side which caused me to make unfruitful trips down to collect my "unrepaired phone." this is just fair to them and at least their service is still commendable.
