Weird. I got it to the point where it's asking for the USBLAN drivers, but it can't find them in the driver location. Anyone got any suggestions?
Edit: Figured it out. There are some missing \ in the FAQ that are needed.
ah... must be coz they take it "/" as a code. damn i need to change it later
what needed it to be changed or has it been changed..Originally Posted by admin

btw on latest linux kernels driver is built in.
I'm using 2.6.12-rc6 and usb0 interface is detected automatically when i connect the phone.
enough to bring it up with IP=192.168.1.1 and telnet to 192.168.1.2
Kewl, will try 2.6 later.Originally Posted by pulp
I still use 2.4 ( Slackware 10.1), driver compiled with few warning may come from gcc's optimization flag ?
after build the src, I did :
#modprobe usblan
it's load the module ok ( /var/log/messages tell that new driver ACM installed and new device at /dev/ttyACM0 )
but no interface like usbl0 , usb0 is available
I tried to rmmod acm ( autoloaded when I load usblan ) then re issue #modprobe usblan
the log say new driver usbnetd registered, I try ifconfig -a , ifconfig usbl0 up , ifconfig usb0 up but still not find the device
any method working around with this ?
any help are appreciated,
thanks !
