just remove the dummy
Hi,
I have just got the e680 and is still exploring at the moment.
The previous owner has inserted a dummy SD card into the card slot and unfortunately, as the phone does not detect a SD card in the slot, did not enable the eject option.
Is there anyway to force eject the SD card?
Cheers,
Ant

I thought there was an actual eject mechanism and was afraid of damaging it.
Guess there wasn't. =P
The card is pretty difficult to extract when you have just trimed your finger nails.
Thanks!
Ant
i hope you didnt try to force it out.
Bad news, I push and push... but the dummy refused to budge.
That's why I asked >.<
Eventually, I managed to get it out, somehow..
Good news, the sd card that replaced the dummy behaved perfectly.
The manual doesn't explain or illustrate other than clicking the eject button.
Thanks!
It should work as it should now!
Yeah, i know. I usually use my stylus for that.Originally Posted by MadAnt
I just purchased my E680 secondhand and damn I was worried about that SD slot.. it seemed to have something in it, yet nothing detected! I was in the same position as Madant and thought the Eject mechanism was digital so I thought I had got done - buying a phone with some sort of faulty SD jammed in!
So I press the bugger in and out it comes, haha. A motorola branded bit of plastic, classic.
Though now I have a new problem, the phone keeps dying on me despite the battery being reported full.. I'm guessing it's not, as it worked fine once the charger was in. Is the battery meter really THAT inaccurate? I mean - saying it was fully charged when it was borderline EMPTY?!
