E680 theme installed screwed the cell. Can someone help me.

I loaded the Alien black theme from the fan site and it installed but it installed unsuccessfully on the E680.
Then when i went to the themes and tried to uninstall it, the option of set to current was selected by mistake and after it got installed, the phone has just hung with all the navigation icons on the screen frozen. basically only the call button near the circular keys on the phone works and thats it. I tried sending a sms from another cell it didnt even deliver that. It doesnt even take me further if i want to save a number from the call list. It just doesnt progress ahead. Then after that it just freezes and thats it. I'm so screwed. Is there some way to work things out. As i reside in Tanzania I cannot afford to send it to Dubai the closet place that it can be repaired and hence I would really appreciate if any one could help me uninstall the theme or help make teh cell phone work. WHat could be the problem.

The theme was probably too large and filled up your /exzlocal. This is a fairly common problem, see these threads:

or search for 'Bamboo' or 'theme', there are other threads.

Basically, you need to connect via USB, telnet in, and delete the theme or other files in /ezxlocal, then it will work again. Instructions for that are in those threads and others.

I tried the keys but that doesnt work as already discovered by everyone else. I'm not sure how to telnet. ALso the computer doesnt recognise the phone after the theme had been installed. So dude, can you please hand hold me to sort this out via telnet. WOuld really appreciate it. WHat software do i need and how can i proceed ahead.

is it possible to telnet with the USBLAN(baclarra -driver) and Window XP which i read in one of the threads. I tried to get hold of the USBLAN(baclarra -driver) but couldnt source it on the net. Can you help!

next time read ALL the threads, i know there are a lot but most questions can be answered by reading ALL the posts (that's how most of us do it).

Hey Mate! I did manage to get the driver and tel net and thanks for the advise. I tried looking up for info on how to telnet as thats what i'm struggling with, I have managed to access the phone through the driver and at+mode=99 etc etc. but then i dont know what 'telnet normally' implies so how do i get to delete the theme.

Alright...now i managed to reach the system file through the exploere once but cant get through again. ANd after i > start>run>\\169.254.142.2\system it keeps asking for a username and password but when i enter root as the username and leave the password empty it still asks for a password and i cannot move ahead. NOw can some one just help push me over the fence so that i can replace the default theme

i installed xpblue theme but strange games appeared in the menu and they are not even uninstalling i also installed lin loader tell me how to delete them
