    canada. but as yantz said, try looking for places on the net that can ship it to you. don't forget to check the pictures to make sure the adapter has 3 lines though. i have no idea if the two line ones work.

    the two lines should workd but it's should be mono not stereo.
    It requires 1 for main (power), 1 for left channel, 1 for right channel, and 1 for microphone. Dunno which one is for which channel.
    Have a similar stereo earpiece for nokia which can be used to listen to radio or mp3 player but can't work when used in a call.

    anyway, i think 2 lines is for listening, 1 line is for mic, therfore 3 lines. not mono and stereo

    i think so. heh.

    mono has 2, stereo has 3, 4 has additional functions, mostly as a remote. so the function could be:

    0 0 0 0
    0 0 0 1
    0 0 1 0
    0 0 1 1
    0 1 0 0
    0 1 0 1
    ...... etc
    thats where you get stop, forward, reverse, volume up, treble etc controls on your remote

    Are you a Comp Engr student Yantz? You sure know alot of things abt E680.

    BTW, I got 1 2.5mm to 3.5mm from SLS ground floor for $2. It is not stereo when fully inserted but if only 3/4 inserted, it will be stereo.

    Hey guys ... I thought mono jacks have only one line. Two lines means stereo and the third line's for the mic. I think the reason you don't get stereo with the converter is because of the positioning of the lines. Btw, I am now living in shanghai and the converter sells for only 5rmb (SG$1) before bargaining.

    Here I'll repost what I posted in the other thread.

    Go here www.pc-mobile.net/mpx200.htm and at the bottom of the page there is an adapter that works perfect. I have two of them and they work. The problem with the other adapters are that the bands for the audio are at the bottom they need to be at the top, if you get what I'm saying.

    Here is a crappy pic of what I'm talking about. On the adapter there are three bands for the phone the top two are for audio and the bottom one is for mic. So with the adapters you guys are getting the two bands are sitting in one of the audio bands and the other in the mic. Thats why you can't here out of one ear. So when you leave it sitting half way out it is sitting in both the audio bands. Maybe this will help you guys. And when I'm talking about bands I'm talking about the black lines.

    Normal Stereo 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack converter are 2 bands , Left and Right

    Our headphone is 3 band which includes the Mic , so if use the 2 band in our port , it will not match thus only one side has sound

    hi guys ,

    i found the perfect 2.5mm to 3.5mm convertor for E680
    in Sg , Sim Lim Square Basement , the shop beside the food court

    its costs $10 and when fully plugged in , both sides of my earphone has sound... and it sounds terrific!

    do try it...
