Installing E680i firmware into E680.....

Hi,

anyone can teach me how to install E680i firmware to E680 phone? I had just d/l the file "E680I_G_0D.C5.A9P_0D.B3.B1P", after i unzipped it, there is a 150MB file inside. Does that mean i must copy that 150MB file to a MMC and install it? Very straight forward is it? or have plenty of steps?

u cannot flash A9P or ABP with E680 directly . you will also need to download the patches made by other ppl.

if you cannot find it i suggest you flash with C5A4P. it can be flashed directly without any prob

Frankly speaking, i am a new owner of E680 as i had just purchase it from a 2nd handshop. Therefore, i am not very good when using this phone.

Where can i get the file u mention "C5A4P"? If u do have, could u kindly pls send to alan57sg@yahoo.com.sg

After i manage to get the file "C5A4P", does that means all i need to do is to save it to my MMC and install it, just like how i install any other games. And my phone will be running on the E680i firmware? Need advice.

By the way, i have another question and really really hope that u can help me. Recently i had just downloaded "readword.rar" from this website. When i tried to install in, it shows "cannot find an application to open file with". Can help? must i install another application inorder for this application to work? If so, do u have it?

I am also looking for the softwares that allow me to view powerpoint, words, excel and .pdf files. Do u have it? I bought this phone as i though all PDAs should have this function but i am very wrong.

once you flash to E680I you will be able to read pointpoint excel pdf files ..
check out the E680I section for the firmware... its in the sticky thread..
