thats why i soldered the original moto cable to the headphones and not use the 2.5plug adapter cable... so i have no issues like this.
I use my phone as an mp3 player (1gig SD) I use a 2.5 adapter to use regular headphones.
here is the problems Im having:
-if someone calls while im listening to mp3s, the phone rings once and goes to VM, doesnt even give a chance to unplug and answer
-there has been times when I have unplugged the headsets and then my phone's earpiece wont work when Im calling or answering a call having to use the speaker. the phone thinks the headphones are still plugged in cause the FM radio will work w\nothing plugged in
anybody else having these issues? and most importantly is there any fixes?

wad does u mean when u say 'soldered the original moto cable to the headphones ' ??
yes, i soldering (put) the original moto cable to the better headphones(koss porta pro) than the original moto standard earbuds, so i have the mic. i m not using the 2.5 plug cable adapter.
dude that looks awesome!
thank you
its easy to build/change, just open the headphones speaker and solder the moto cable on it.

Wow , damn cool headset
If you used 2.5mm->3.5mm "adapter" and it has 3 "rings" it can make short circuit in moto mic + answer button circuit so that why those things happen. Try to find an adapter with 4 rings instead.
