Hmmm, maybe i didn't explain it clearly.

    1. I transfer the .mtf file onto my phone.
    2. I click on it to let it install the app or themes.
    3. After finish installing, can I delete the .mtf file?

Is it possible to install Yantz's lin_loader on A768i using the mtf file in the downloads section? I'm asking cos E680 mtf files are not generally compatable with A768.

Yantz, I was wondering if you'd be so kind as to post a A768 compatable version. Or maybe you could upload the binaries and explain how manually install it.

Thanks a lot to all u guys(n gals , if any). This site is seriously coool!

it should work, its just unix commands. and motorola's mtf theme installer is actually a gunzip program

if a768's InstalledDB is in /ezxlocal/download/appwrite/am, then it should definately work. try installing the linloader, then write a simple ps aux > /diska/testes.txt script. if you see testes.txt, then it worked.

as for mtf, try gzipping testes.txt inside /diska, then rename it to something.mtf, and click from phone. i think it should also work

I tried that but it gives an "Operation Failed" on clicking the mtf.

So I unzipped it and went thru the linloader file. There were some references to /mmc. Could this be the problem cos 768 does not have mmc.

Also a768's InstalledDB is in /ezxlocal/sysfile/am. Is this the problem?
