some cons of the phone to share and rectify (if can)..

used the phone for a few days and found out some bad points of the
phone to share and solve..

1) i am from SG using singtel..when i make calls..i will get this message..'conditional call divert partly active'..is this normal? or am i wasting unneccessary diverting costs? hmmm..

2) The text input and keyboard input method adopted by the E680 seems to be extracted from the Jurassic period. The text recognition is
extremely slow and not accurate. In case you're wondering, my
handwriting is very neat and straight even OCR programs have no
problems reading it. One thing that bugs me about the text input
method is that you have to write one individual letter at a time and
let it understand and convert it before you can input another
character. This is totally unacceptable for a new-generation phone.
The keyboard input method fares no better either as the keyboard is
extremely small and difficult to read. To make matters worst, the
SEND BUTTON and the SPACE BAR are located on top of each other. Once
you try to press the space bar, you may inadvertently press the SEND
button and off your msg goes...even before it was completed. This
happened to me a lot of time already. - anyway to change the keyboard setting using themes?

3) and, when i keypad lock it...when there's a missed call or missed
sms..i wouldnt know it unless i unlock my phone...motorola should
change the settings to like..missed call, change the 'm' lighting
from green to red..or make some pop-up icons on the black screen...

4) when i make a call..then i 'x' the call..it will still goes on
engage... =.=..if need to end this call, will need to 'end' or dial
the right button...

5) the vibration really very soft... when someone calls, i cant really
feel it if its in my jeans..'maybe my butt skin too thick' ..why cant
moto have vibrate+ring ?..


any gurus around to rectify theses issues?

1. its normal when you have call divert active, maybe divert when not answered/busy/etc..
2. handwriting recognition speed in setup -> input setup. keyboard arrangements cant be changed in themes. alternative: flash to e680i, or enter number only after completing sms, that way send button is not active
3. when phone is locked, you can long press the camera button to show the clock and phone status. it will you if you have sms or missed call. the led indication can be done, but not yet
4. the reason why x doesnt terminate the call is so that you can multi-task. thats the reason also why they put the end call button
5. we could soon have vibrate+ring, as per evaldas. the beauty of this phone is anything is possible, and its all because its running on linux os

anyway, can i delete the 'conditional call divert partly active' message?

to check your call diverts:
tap call icon (the 4th icon on top)
tap menu (bottom left) -> setup -> call divert

thx..i checked it..i cancelled all diverts,,,auto answer - off and perpend - off...but when i make calls..the message 'conditional call divert partly active' is still there..it this a universal message?

and..is there a dictionary to d/l for keyboard smsing?

Hi, I hav a big prob with my phone right nw.. gosh.. the realplayer always retaining the existing playlist. I deleted the playlist and emptied everything inside the playing list; after i close realplayer and open realplayer again.. the list comes back again and points to the same song everytime.

Not only that, I am facing problems with its memory. Example I click alarm and change the time, then click ok.. but it returned with the Flash is full message. I tried to edit the settings and save. Same problem, states "Memory is full"..

Really need some advice here. Tks!!

Deinstall all your themes and some sms's, or telnet and delete as much as possible in /ezxlocal.

first problem: after emptying your playlist, did you save it?

next, as maxx said, try uninstalling some themes. i believe you must have installed some

some providers (like mine too) does not allow to disable all divertions. eg they want to make money with the voicebox. so divertation message is still shown, because divertions have not been disabled although you disabled all divertions
