Thread: TMP folder

  1. #1

    Default TMP folder

notice that the filesystem consist various tmp folders, some in /var..etc.
wonder if we can delete the content inside? beacuse I see quite a lot of files inside these tmp folder. Deleting them will it cause the phone to malfunction?

In the UNIX and Linux world, anything inside tmp folder can be deleted, wonder if this applies to our phone linux OS.

    Default Re: TMP folder

all tmp folders are soft linked to a folder called "ram" and this ram folder is mounted as ramfs. this is a part from your RAM of the phone. so every content in it will be removed when you turn off you phone.
