How to transfer music without the CD software?

Hey guys, I just got this phone as a present and its brand new, however there were a few things missing. It did not come with a CD software for something i assume? (what do i need the CD for?, can I get it somewehre else via download?)

It also didn't come with the user's manual, but I was able to find it online anyway. I wanted to know a few things that the manual does not talk about. How do I transfer music to the phone? Is this covered in the CD software? Also, movies can be played on this phone? Why doesn't the manual cover this? Can I buy any adapter to plug into the small headset jack so i can use my regular headphones? I've noticed that when listenting to the FM tuner with the headset, it only plays the left ear. How do I get the right ear to play?

I'm new to this smart phone business and only had a basic phone before. So when I was given this, i was like oh no...

Any help would be appreciated.

You can transfer music files via USB from your computer to your phone to your SD card. That also goes for pics, java, and any other files.

first enter te Setup then go to USB Mode then change to Mass Storage...
after that, connect ur phone by the USB Cable and ur phone will be detected as a removable storage media
