Can't hear anything on my E6

The speakers on my E6, jus stopping working like that, when its rebooted you can hear the intro music, but thats it you can't anything when calls are sent or received, not even when realplayer is running, only time you can hear is the headset is plugged into the audio jack, but that is only for calls nothingelse.

Any suggestions?

If all else fails you may want to flash the firmware. You could also try a master reset.

Did you install or change anything before this happened?

Last thing, I know you've probably done this but have you tried different 'alert styles'?

The only mod I did was to make the quad band, as well as install a few applications and games. I did a master reset and master clear, didn't work then worked for a bit but then problem occured again.

That's bizarre.

EDIT: Take out your memory card. Restart. And see if the problem still happens. If that fixes it, format your memory card on the phone.


If flashing your phone doesn't solve the problem it's got to be a hardware issue. But flashing can brick your phone so it should really be the last thing you try.

Here's the guide to flashing. As long as you follow the instuctions, it should be fine.

I tried all of the following except tryin to flash it. RSD Lite won't install on my pc, I'm running vista home edition, that may have some thing to do with it.

anyone with this problem got any answer that will help besides flashing the phone... i'm very new to this whole concept and do not want to void the warrienty on the phone... please help!!

okay so i actually went and tried to flash this phone a few times with different versions, but still no luck. Anyone help! the phone is not a phone without the speaker working!! good for parts? this sux cuz i jst got this phone too! plz plz help!

If it's under warranty I'd just return it. It may be a good idea to flash back to your original firmware though.

If flashing didn't solve the problem there isn't much hope. All I'd do is double check all my settings.

yo i had this prob too...no sound from the speaker but only a bit from the headset....but mine started to work after i did sumthin weird...i was lying on my bed and it suddenly struck me...i just kept the phone a few centimetres above the ground and then i just let it go....then i started praying that sum miracle takes place n then all of a sudden i heard a tiny buzz...i kept on tapping on the speaker side repeatedly n then all of a sudden the sound just came on!!!! now that was luck as i didnt even have warranty.....so best of luck....i got lucky...dunno bout u man....but hope everything goes ok

thx for the reply, i did send it back to the store and dey'll send it to someone to look at... if that doesn't work i'll have to roll it back to motorola for warrenty ...
