    Default Cingular SIM Cards

Okay, so here's the story: My girlfriend's old V3i died so we went and got her a ROKR E6. I went ahead and flashed it to the .08 firmware and did the SEEM edits for Quadband and EDGE. The next logical step is to input the WAP settings. I used pretty much all the different settings in the A1200 on the subject (in different profiles) and none of them worked. However, just to test, I inserted my own Cingular SIM into her phone and connected to MEdiaNet on most profiles without any problems. So I've opened up the possibilty that the difference in SIMs is the root cause as to why some people can get certain settings to work and some can't. She has got a newer, 3G 64K Cingular SIM, whereas mine is an older 32K SIM, as shown below:

    MINE

    HER's

So what I'm asking is, what exactly is the difference, in terms of WAP settings, between these two? I'm hoping some of you guys with either SIM can chime in and offer some insight on the matter.

Upping this for anyone with either SIM to give me some input. Not having any internet working really kills some of that great functionality this phone has.

I really dont think it has anything to do with your sim card.. The only difference is hers will pick up 3g signal where your sim card does not.

Try doing a master reset and try again.

What I don't get is... why you inserted your SIM card into HER phone, but not her SIM card into YOUR phone? I'm assuming she's also using Cingular? Because think about it.. if her SIM can't connect to the internet on your phone and yours didn't work either, then maybe it's NOT a SIM card problem, but rather a phone problem?

And by the way... are you sure you got the internet settings right? Well.. let's just make sure.. go to this link, it worked for me: http://www.modmymoto.com/guides/e6/setupcingular.php

Another thing is... make sure Cingular doesn't have your blocked off from using the internet. Don't know, just a possibility, because I asked Cingular to block off my parent's internet access just so they don't accidentally press on the internet button and rack up the bills. :P
