Cant get MPT to work on Vista...

hey guys, sorry if this has been dealt with, i tried searching didnt come up with anything... i just got the E6 and im trying to install MPT, after it updates, it still doesnt find the phone... I have tried having my phone in both Modem and Mass Storage mode, still doesnt help... and then after if i try to update MPT again it tells me that i dont have the administator privilages... and i do hah... help would be appreciated

Try changing the compatibility mode to Windows 2000/XP and might help.

Also set the program to Admin mode so it knows you have admin rights. Vista is a pain in the butt and I tihnk was released WAY to early for what its worth. Hardly supports anything still and has so many driver / compatibility issues with things.

I dumpedit after 2 days and back to XP which in my mind is a better OS and when it was released it supported alot more things.

I have it working in both Vista X86, and Vista X64. X64 was a little trickier. Drivers that come with MPT does not work with it. I just dl'ed the new X64 Moto drivers from Motodev (2.7.6) and it would allow me to connect. As for not having permission to check for updates, I don't think I have had that problem, but maybe it was fixed in a newer release?

Anyway, just in case, here are the X86, and X64 drivers.

I get an error when installing MPT in vista 64...something about a dll that cannot install....

They say they are fixing it for the next version... and that is in testing.. but now way to know.

If you guys have a workaround i will appreciate it . I have vista x64. Radiocomm 11.2.0 will not load.. an error with

After numerous attempts, I have MPT working...but RadioComm is not Vista compatible...think we need to wait a bit on that one. Im using it on my desktop which is still XP...

Radiocomm IS Vista compatible...I've had no trouble with it at all. Just run it with compatibility to Windows 2000.

thankx for the advice......it was really irritatin to switch to my laptop when i needed to use Radiocomm
