question about yan0.rar and MPKG

Hey all!
I'm bout to get this wondrous fone and i've bin reading some of the posts, i have a question...
what is the difference between yan0.rar (apparently its used for unsigned .pkg files - i have no idea wat that means) and the MPKG program (can this not open unsigned .pkg files or something?)

Yan0.rar is a rar file containing the MPKG installer. It consists of a .system folder in which you replace your old one. Once you restart you will find MPKG as a new icon. MPKG allows you to install pkg files.

After having installed yan's mpkg I cannot install packages on my E6 (FW 06):
I always get the following error: Installation failed. Package invalid.
I tried it with linloader, dosbox, gba emu etc.: Always the same error.
And when I change the extension to mpkg there is a "ding" tone and my E6 just resets.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I read your sticky about the installation of mpkg and linloader
i tried the first method
it says invalid application
and i cannot find any thread with "yan's mpkg....."

plzzzz help!
