Alpha's Quadband & EDGE Script

ok thanks i see the quadband! Thanks, i geuss ill have to drive around abit to see about the edge mabey there coverage map is wrong, also in an earlyer post i saw something about always keeping the E on, how do i do that?

This is going to sound dumb but i just flashed my phone, when u told me how to check my firmware i relized i didnt have the latest, so i flashed it for .08P. Now that i flashed it do i have to mod it again for quadband and edge?

Yes, every time you flash it erases seem data, so you will have to repeat my script. But honestly thats the beauty of my script, its saves alot of time. Once you have it set up its just a click away.

I still need help for the Edge. I was saying that after i tried to do the voicemail script, after i pressed the button it said "thanks for using alphas script or something" - Does that mean that, that one worked??

But i do need help for the edge. It gives me the error

That prompt is just to give myself credit for my script. It goes on before the actual modifications. After that the green box will flash a few times and then your phone will restart. The phone restarting is the sign that it went through.


As for your problem with EDGE, are you saying that you can run one script but you cant with the other?

hmm i dont know if the other one worked now, i didnt notice the green flashing & i dont remember my phone restarting by itself. I will try tomorrow. But i do not get no weird text messsages after i check my voicemail anymore so maybe it did work but i didnt notice any of that stuff or maybe it fixed itself.

It doesn't fix by itself , most def. it worked but it happened too quickly for you to notice.

ok let me try the edge again. Under the hyperterminal. When i go to check to see what com I am on, DO i chose the one that says Motorola Phone or Motorola USB Modem. Look here, It says not present for them two...







-edit wait a minute i tried to easy way and it worked today- YAHOO!!!!! But whats the edge do besides faster internet??? I Dont have internet enabled on my phone yet. Will it give me faster internet for T-mobile web?? I am going to get that soon.
