Hello Everyone,

Scared of doing the seem edits to enable EDGE or Quadband? Are you intimidated with Radiocomm? Well i came up with an easy solution, I created a script that does both in less then 2 seconds.
I believe this will help many people.

Instructions :

Step 1 : Unrar the attached file using winrar or 7-zip. You will get the following file "Quadband & EDGE Script by Alpha.tcs"

Step 2 : Launch Radiocomm and wait for the green light.

Step 3: Click on Step Up buttons ( Shown in the Picture)

Step 4 : Locate the Script you extracted, type in a label like i did in the example below, make sure the script type is motorola p2k commands, and then click "SET" After that click the X on that window.

Step 5: Click on the button you labeled and then it should take no longer then 1-3 seconds and your done!

Step 6: Enjoy having Quadband and EDGE!

RadioComm vs Windows Vista

SOFTWARE NEEDED:

1. Download & Install RadioComm v11.6.2

2. Download & Install Motorola USB Driver v3.5.0

3. Download Quadband and Edge Script by Alpha43
unrar it and put "Quadband & EDGE Script by Alpha.tcs" at windows C drive.

Easy Done In 3 Simple Step
E6 - Alpha's Quadband & Edge Script.


E6 - Setting
a) go to Setup / USB Mode / set to Modem / save & exit
b) then connect E6 to windows xp thru usb cable

1st
refer attach RadioComm & Alpha's 01.jpg for detail
a) launch RadioComm software
first time: set to GSM & USB Mode, auto install some drivers
b) Radio Detection and USB Icon turn Green Color


2nd
refer attach RadioComm & Alpha's 02.jpg for detail
step 1 - click " Setup Buttons "
step 2 - " Browse - Quadband & Edge Script.tcs "
step 3 - type " Alpha's "
step 4 - " Select - Motorola P2K Commands "
step 5 - click " Set "
step 6 - click " Exit "


3rd
refer attach RadioComm & Alpha's 03.jpg for detail
a) first, click " Alpha's " buttton
it will take within second to enable the Alpha's script
b) finally, " Done - Successful " and
E6 - " Auto Restart & Job Completed "
c) closed RadioComm software and
unplug usb cable from windows xp and E6
d) type WWW008W to confirm " Quadband " enable.

when i do step 2 it crashes on me. I am on vista and put compat to windows 2000 because it doesnt work on vista

I dont know if anyone else has this issue....

I enabled EDGE and Quadband two days back using that alpha script and i should say that it worked one shot and its cool....I can also see my speed increased bcos of that.

But one concern is that I feel that my battery is getting drained soon.....Can it be becos of that....before that it was ok....and this phone is just 4 months old...

i will however check for next one week how it goes...

first, i don't know abt windows vista ... uninstall all RadioComm and Motorola USB Driver.

second, u must install RadioComm first then install Motorola USB driver again... i think it will work this time.

pls check your phone USB Mode ... if in " Modem Mode " it will drain the battery fast.

I want to know how to revert to the old settings of only GPRS (non-EDGE) and tri-band in my motorokr e6.....I have enabled EDGE, Quadband using the script in this thread....

it works good however its draining my battery....since i dont use internet that much...i want to revert....

pls help asap.

Forgot to mention that the USB is set to mass storage mode only....
